The THOR™ JTAC Plate Carrier is a mission-focused plate carrier engineered for air-to-ground controllers (JTAC) and tactical operators who need protected, cable-ready and highly modular load carriage. Developed in cooperation with the world leading supplier of Air to ground Command and Control-system while field tested through several iteration by operational Special Forces and air-to-ground operators, the THOR JTAC is finally available.
The carrier accepts front and back ballistic plates (side plates optional) to protect vital thoracic anatomy while maintaining a low-profile silhouette. A continuous laser-cut MOLLE/PALS-compatible OMEGA-panels covers the external front, back and sides, enabling optimal pouch placement and reduced mass versus traditional webbing. Cable routing and management are built in — dedicated torso cable pockets, tunnels through the cummerbund and shoulder straps, and protected channels for comms and sensor wiring keep cabling secure and out of the way. Shoulder comfort pads, a lumbar support belt and padded comfort panels balance load and preserve ventilation to reduce heat and moisture build-up.
The carrier fastens and releases quickly via tube buckles on shoulders and side belts; pull-tabs allow reliable gloved operation and a tactile click confirms closure. Extensive adjustment range in shoulders and side belts accommodates thermal layers or insulation while maintaining stable, low-signature performance. Constructed from hydrophobic, flame-resistant textiles, the JTAC carrier is optimized for low noise, long service life and field reparability.
